NASA to Launch Orbiting Carbon Observatory - 01.25.2008

Talk of the Nation, January 25, 2008 · A satellite observatory designed to map the carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere will be launched in 2009. NASA hopes that it will allow researchers to generate precise global maps of the abundance of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere and get a better understanding of the global carbon cycle.
