OCO-2 Teams

Numerous members of the OCO-2 team were a part of the original OCO project/team and have been working together for nearly 15 years. After the launch failure of OCO, which resulted in the loss of the mission, team members were committed to seeing the mission fly again, and rebuilding the instrument for the crucial measurements that were needed to answer urgent science questions. As the project manager, Ralph Basilio, often says to the team, "We have unfinished business."

OCO-2 would not be possible without the expertise, fortitude and commitment from every single member of the team. The organizational charts represent some key staff members and the science implementation teams at JPL.

Members of the OCO-2 Project Management Team include:
Project Manager: Ralph Basilio, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Deputy Project Manager: Said Kaki, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Project System Engineer: Dankai Liu, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Project Scientist: Mike Gunson, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Deputy Project Scientist: Annmarie Elderling, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Science Team Lead: David Crisp, Jet Propulsion Laboratory

  • Richard Kemski: Mission Assurance Manager, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • Tom Glavich: Spare Instrument Manager, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
